TIME WITH INSPIRE: Word of Exhortation. The Environment of Freedom

Dear Beloved in Christ,

I want to share a brief word of encouragement today from 2 Corinthians 3:17: "Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom."

We live in a world that talks a lot about freedom, but usually defines it as doing whatever we want, whenever we want. But true spiritual freedom is different. It’s not the absence of boundaries; it is the presence of a Person. It is the presence of the Holy Spirit.

1: Freedom from the Weight of Comparison and Performance: Paul reminds us in this chapter that trying to live by the rules alone is heavy. It leads to legalism, comparison, and a constant fear of not being enough. But when the Holy Spirit moves into our lives, He brings a standard of grace. The atmosphere shifts. We no longer serve God out of fear of punishment, but out of the freedom of being loved as His children.

2: Freedom from the Veils of the Past. Before Christ, there was a spiritual "veil" that hid God's presence. Many of us still walk around with personal veils—veils of shame from past mistakes, veils of anxiety about the future, or veils of insecurity. But where the Spirit is welcomed, those veils are torn away. The Spirit gives us the freedom to be authentic, to heal, and to see ourselves the way God sees us.

Brothers and sisters, the Holy Spirit lives inside you. That means you carry the environment of freedom everywhere you go. You don't have to live bound by worry, trapped by addiction, or paralyzed by fear today.

As we pray and move forward, let’s ask ourselves: Are there areas of my life where I am still acting like a captive, even though Christ has made me free? Let’s invite the Holy Spirit into those heavy spaces today, because where He is, liberty must follow.

A word of prayer

Lord, thank You for the gift of Your Spirit. We invite Your presence into our hearts today. Break every chain of worry, legalism, or shame, and help us walk boldly in the freedom You have paid for. In Jesus' name, Amen.
